Music Buzz

Earlier this week I spoke to Ne-Yo about the release of his new single Let Me Love You, and he said that he now has his own portable studio so he can record music wherever he is in the world. We know Coldplay and Lady Gaga also have one of these studios – but Rihanna is still the queen of music-on-the-move. Take, for example, her latest trip to London to headline Wireless festival - Rihanna continues to not sleep and just work and party and bull sh**t. Ne-Yo told me that he'd even been recording with her over the last few days, e xplaining that David Guetta had also been involved in these sessions. The potential for amazingness with RiRi, Ne-Yo and Guetta on one record together is too much for our tiny brains to take.

Hot Music Vid – Lawson – Taking Over Me

Following up their Top 5 hit When She Was Mine with the infectious Taking Over Me, Lawson are clearly on a mission to make us tap our toes. Try and resist. You can't. The video sees the ridiculously goodlooking Andy, Ryan, Joel and Adam road-trippin' across California with some carefully selected fit girls. The journey ends in an empty motel. Tradition dictates that empty hotels end with horror movie style gore, but something tells us that this story doesn't end like a scary Hostel movie. More like a sexy Hostel movie.

One To Watch – Amelia Lily

Amelia's story on last year's X Factor went from very bad to very good. After being booted off the show in the first week she made a dramatic comeback filling the Frankie Cocozza void when he broke the 'Golden Rule'. Mentored to third place by Kelly Rowland, she's been busy in the studio with the producers behind most of Girls Aloud's biggest hits, Xenomania. We would have expected something a bit more Kelly Clarkson/Pink but what we've got is You Bring Me Joy - a strong dancefloor anthem to start off the story. Maybe the rock and big vocal will come later. Fingers crossed.
