The Wanted Well turn down Rita Ora songs if theyre not good enough

The Wanted

We bet being in a boyband has its perks – all the attention, all the free clothes and the endless free dinners at Nando's. But imagine being so big you could turn down Jay Z's newest protégé, and one of the hottest rising stars of the moment. No imagining for The Wanted, who have today revealed that they've got the power to turn down a track that Rita Ora has written for them!

Siva Kaneswaran told BBC Newsbeat today: ""We're working on our next album and it's going to be a worldwide album so everyone can see it. We've been working with Rita Ora, Dappy, LMFAO, loads of tracks, but we've all decided that if the track is good enough then it's on the album, not because of collaborations, because we're stubborn."

Wow. There are no hard feelings, though. Just because they're perfectionists doesn't mean they don't like the R.I.P. singer.

"Anthemic" songs to come

In fact, Siva's got a lot of respect for her, after working with her previously: "She's a lovely girl. I did a song with her. She wasn't big when I worked with her, she was just about on the cusp and now she's just exploded and it's nice to see good people doing well."

Awww. He teased a bit more about the boys' upcoming album, saying that fans of Max George, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker, Nathan Sykes and himself will be treated to another eclectic mash-up of tunes:

"I think it's going to be another one of those mixed bags - anthemic, some high hitters, some slow songs - so something for everyone again."

Are you looking forward to The Wanted's second album?
