Tim Prottey-Jones eliminated from Andrew Lloyd Webber's Superstar

Tim Prottey-Jones eliminated from Andrew Lloyd Webber's Superstar

If we had our way, we'd have all eleven of the dashing finalists playing Jesus in Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Jesus Christ Superstar. But alas, that's just not really feesable.

Sadly the lastest wannable Jesus to be voted off ITV's Superstar by the general public is Tim Prottey-Jones.

Tim is a 32-year-old charity worker from Birmingham. Tim - who has a cat called Sausage - used to have a real phobia of singing in public, because he had a high and slightly unusual voice. After hearing Steve Balsamo's version of Gethsemane, Tim was reassured that just because he had a high voice, that didn't make him a werido.&nb sp;

Tim works as a co-ordinator for a children's music charity called Sounded Out, where he runs projects for young people organising fundraising, working with schools, young offenders and with local communities.

Despite leaving Superstar, we've got a feeling this isn't the last we'll see of this talented young man.

Tim speaks to heat

We spoke to Tim about his future plans and tried to figure out just how Jesusy he really is. Here's what he had to say:

What's the most Jesusy thing you've ever done?
Well, I have actually played Jesus before at an amateur level, so I think that's the most Jesusy thing I've ever done.

What's next for you?
I'm sure a lot of the guys here want to play Jesus in this production or nothing at all. I'm not of that thinking at all – if there are any other roles up for grabs, I would certainly express my in terest. On a wider scale, Andrew – sorry Andrew Lloyd Webber – and I have been talking about my writing; he's a massive fan of what I've done, so maybe there's something there.
